Paige's dad made a surprise visit to our house last week. Well, not a surprise to us, but it was for the kids. We had great fun tormenting them for several days with the whole "a surprise is coming, but we aren't telling you what" routine. They had a few guesses (mostly involving new VSmile games, or chocolate) but I don't think any of them guessed it would be Grandpa.
He got in on Friday, and surprised Luke first.
Then Levi and Noah.
Then Ella.
We kept him plenty busy while he was here, but unfortunately didn't take many pictures. He ran all around town with Paige dropping off and picking up kids. He and I went to a men's conference with Darrin Patrick (good short video here.) He went to a horse show with Ella and Paige, and Bass Pro Shop with Luke. He dug a ginormous hole in the back yard to help replace the post holding our shade sails (seriously... huge hole.) He revelled our children with bedtime stories about Silvercat the Crow and Rusty the Stallion (or something like that. I can't remember the stories, and but he keeps our kids absolutely glued to the story. It's awesome to watch.) I don't even recall what else we kept him running around doing, but I think the poor guy had to go home just to get some rest and relaxation.
We had a great time, and our kids had a great time. Wish Grandpa could just stop by more often!
